The City Wall of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) is the biggest and most intact Ming Dynasty city wall in China. Outside the city walls, the Famen Temple enjoys the status of being the 'forefather of pagodas and temples in Central Shaanxi,' because it contains the finger bones of Sakyamuni who was the founder of Buddhism in China.
The natural scenery around Xian is also marvelous Mt Huashan which is one of the five most famous mountains in China, is popular for its breath-taking cliffs and its exceptional characteristics. Furthermore there are a lot of shopping outlets for locals and tourists. Within the city walls are many big shopping centers, department stores and supermarkets making it convenient to live and study in Xian.
The night life in Xian has nothing to envy to other important Chinese capitals as Beijing as Shanghai. You can enjoy the night scenery around the Bell Tower, walk around the ancient Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square and watch the music fountain performance or more modern ways like singing in the KTV, hanging out in a bar, or dancing in a disco if deciding to live and study in Xian.
