In addition, the university has 6 affiliated hospitals, providing medical services of various kinds for people from all over Zhejiang province.

For this century, the university is willing to take advantage of the opportunities brought by the merger of four independent universities that took place in 1998 leading to the current university. It will continue to give priority to education and investigation.
